Chamber tours Baileyton's
Custom Impressions, Inc.

The Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce Existing business/industry committee sponsored a tour of Baileyton's Custom Impressions recently at the Town of Baileyton Industrial Park.
Custom Impressions, which was founded in 1982, deals in contract decorating and packaging. President and General Manager Scott Sanders explained to the Chamber's tour group that his company deals mainly in contract decorating: placing logos, graphics and other decorations on the products and components of many nationally as well as internationally-known companies.

President and general manager Scott Sanders explains the pad printing process to the Chamber tour group.

"We use heat transfer, hot stamping, silk screening and pad printing to decorate components for products as diverse as cosmetics, computers, food storage containers, appliances, medical supplies and cellular phones," Sanders said. "Being a service industry, we have to be the best. We feel we are."

BellSouth's Dave Hargrove, Chairman of the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce Existing Business/Industry Committee, Baileyton Mayor Dr. Paul Bailey and Cullman County Economic Development Director Randall Shedd are fascinated by the detailed work of Custom Impressions, Inc., located at Baileyton Industrial Park.

Sanders said the company was actually founded in nearby Arab, Alabama, and relocated to Baileyton's Industrial Park  in 1995.
"We're proud to be in Baileyton," Sanders said. "Moving to Baileyton was the best thing for our company and we are glad to be here."
"We're extremely proud of this operation," Baileyton Mayor Dr. Paul Bailey said of Custom Impressions. "Anytime you come into their building, you'll find it as neat and clean as it is today."
Custom Impressions employs 20 full-time personnel in its contract decorating operation and 10 employees in its contract packaging facility. When large orders come in and deadlines are required, as many as 80 people are employed through temporary agencies to get the job done.

"One of our strong points is our ability to get workers and keep them," Sanders said. "Our employees are our biggest asset. We have some employees who only want part-time work and are willing to be called in as needed and that is a real asset to our company."

"We appreciate the Chamber of Commerce and we are glad to have them visit our facility," Sanders said.
