Smith Lake Park
Located
on Lewis Smith Lake at Trimble, it is one of the top rated recreational
areas in
Alabama. In addition to picnic pavilions the
park also has camping hook-ups,
tent campsites, swimming pool and water
slide, carpet golf, boat launching and fishing. The Lewis
Smith Lake has 500 miles of shoreline and is ranked as the number
one lake in Alabama for spotted bass fishing and
number three for crappie. Five world record catches for spotted
bass is held by Smith Lake; a state record was set by a 32.8
stripped bass catch. Smith Lake Park hosts many events throughout
the year, including an Independence Day Festival that features
live music and one of the state's biggest fireworks shows.

Clarkson Covered Bridge
Built in 1904, Clarkson
Covered Bridge is the only remaining covered bridge in
Cullman County. This site has a picnic area and a walking
trail around the park. This park also has a grist mill and
pond.
Visitors from all across the country and from all parts of
the world come to Clarkson Bridge to enjoy the beautiful
setting and to step back in time. The Cullman County Commission
is
currently assisting the Park and Recreation Department in
refurbishing this park so future generations may continue to
enjoy this
wonderful old covered bridge.

Sportsman's Lake Park
Located
in the City of Cullman, Sportsman's Lake Park offers a large picnicking
area, pavilions,
fishing and campsites. Other recreational attractions are
carpet golf, paddle boat rentals, a playground, and a train ride
around
the lake. Enjoy the wild flower garden which is a spring
and summer delight, and the walking trail all year long.
